Winter of 1575 hc - turn 1

Protagonists: Cashue Alore, Thraxius Todd, Match, Con'Lane, Eve Greyheart.

Eve of the Dead

Day of the Dead, Cashue, Con & Thraxius enjoy the festivities as the Elvish deligation from Tuarhievel pulls into Ruorven. Eve sneeks off to watch the human celebration. Evening comes, and we find Match fleeing through the alleys from a band of mis-shapen thugs. Cornered, he turns to face them. Cashue, Con & Thrax happen to be coming out of a tavern while Eve appears from an alleyway, all in time to lend a hand. Dispatching the Beastmen quickly they take their prisoner Captian Fang (a Flind Gnoll) back to Mhedlore Hansien. She is taken aback at Match’s appearence, but after determining his lack of evil (as far as she can tell), she leads them to the Gallery, where she shows him a portrait of Darksong, and tells the story of Darksong’s many clones. It is decided Match will stay as Coerany’s guest, and Cashue will get to watch over him.

1st to 4th of Keltier
Lady Hansien, concerned about Match (and in turn Cashue), sends the pair north towards Mystvale, where they are to lay low for a while. On the road through Duornil they are forced to seek cover in the ruined Tor known as Hightop as the mother of all storms beats on them with hail and lightning. Cashue & Match, finding the ancient halls intriguing explore, face rat hoards, a flying demonic head, and a pair of goblin interlopers before retreating to rest for the night.

5th of Keltier
Con & Thrax arive at Hightower. Match persuade them to join in pluming the Tor’s secrets, and they (along with the ever adventuresome Chubo, Thrax’s partner in crime) find more than they’d bargand for in the undead guardian, the Dark Knight. His defeat awakens the land, and in a vision they find that the land has chosen them as it’s stewards...
