o    In the North – Skahild has announced a 2,000gp bounty on Trolls.  The trick of it is that she wants them alive.  To assist in that end she has taken in the services of Trollkin Mercenaries from Thaele (the Van Cos Cos Kindred most notabe amongst them) – a move assured to make her neighbors nervous, given the already massive size of her army.
o    In the West – Since the Day of Rebirth the Bacchae, wandering packs of dangerous and savage revelers, wander Mynea and her neighbors, raping and pillaging the local townships as they go.  
o    In the South – A small fleet of strange ships have come to port at the Imperial Capital, peopled by a peculiar mix of elves and halflings.  Where they come from, now one seems to know, but since their visit to the Imperial Palace, thunder has been heard from time to time, and a number of nearby buildings have collapsed.
o    In the East – Stories have surfaced that another Awnsheighlen, matching the description of the Chimaera of old, has appeared to haunt the stretch of territory she ruled a generation ago.  Adventurers are once again gathering in Alor’s Vale to set out in search of this creature in the hopes of fame & glory.
o    In the Heartlands - The Coliseum in Elinie has become more popular of late.  The jaded nobility have found new passion in bloodsport, much to the chagrin of the royal family, and have been ecstatic over the advent of Gladiators sponsored by Osoerde aristocrats, Mynean merchants and Harlequin priests, and the introduction of monsters they bring to the fights.
