Once upon a time...

"...The Proud Heart spilled forth from the great city of Bloodstone, and took the lands for their own. But they were not the only ones.  Into this world crawled all the dark things that had been held so long in the Phantom realms.  Under the cloak of Father Night they slipped off into the dark recesses of the world to await the day they might call the world their own...

...Thus was the Dawn Age, when Law and Chaos struggled to shape the world, and the First Champions wandered the Land..."

- from "Ruins of the Phantom Kingdom"

Shey'Khenan, land of beauty and hidden terror.  A world both young and old. Less than a millennia ago the Gods made their Pact and left Shey'Khenan to the mortal races to tend.  Now dark powers seek to return, to plunge the world into everlasting night and chop the world-tree off at its roots.

The first chronicle told of the distruction of the Phantom Kingdom and the birth of the world.

The second chronicle began in the peaceful Nevern Vally. An independent Barony, it was a provincial collection of villages hedged in between Darthen, Barthenor, and the greater Sylvattan wilderness. When a great metal bird fell flaming from the sky to crash into the nearby mountains, frightening events were set in motion, and a small band of home-town heroes struggled to halt the grim fate it heralded.

Now, 4 years later and hundreds of miles to the east across a bitter sea, the Kingdom of Ardenoth struggles to rebuild from nearly a century of civil war and invasion. As proud men and savage orcs struggle for suprimacy, a pair of halfbreeds and their peculiar friends have found they hold the keys to restoring peace. Presuming they live long enough to unlock it...
